We invite you to celebrate Blue Star Museums 2012, a program offering free museum admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2012.
The Alamo in San Antonio is hosting a press conference and museum tour for military families on Thursday, July 12th at 11:00 am to highlight the summertime program for this year. This is one of seven National Events being held at prestigious museums across the country. This is a fun, family event, OPEN for everyone and anyone who is interested in the arts and looking to get a glimpse at the possibilities of what a day at the museum is like.
The National Events are also open to anyone in the community who is interested in supporting military service members and their families. Please RSVP to Desiree Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-819-1178 if you are interested in attending the event and/or participating in the program.
Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment of the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,800 museums across America. First launched in summer 2010, Blue Star Museums is available to all active duty military and their family members. Active duty military include Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and active duty National Guard and active duty Reserve members.
