Whether you are a military family member, a veteran or a civilian who would like to give something back to the military community, we'd love to add you to our volunteer team.
Volunteer Opportunities

Blue Star Families has a number of exciting ways to help you connect, support and engage military families and give yourself a professional leg up.

Contributing Writers
Book Keeper
Do you have experience in Fund Accounting and running books for a Not for Profit? Must have solid knowledge and past experience of operating Quick Books, providing quarterly and annual reports (internally as well as to Grantors). Must be able to work unsupervised in a virtual environment to often tight and shifting deadlines
Fundraising Coordinator
If you have experience going out and closing the deal, we’ve got a job for you! Your solid background of sales and/or fundraising experience would go a long way in helping Blue Star Families grow.
Membership Coordinators
Blue Star Families’ local chapters are growing by leaps and bounds. Put your sales force management, membership program creation, and/or recruiting experience into action by becoming one of our regional membership coordinators, responsible for making sure our chapter directors have everything they need to grow their local chapter.
National Guard & Reserve Coordinators
The needs of National Guard and Reserve families differ from those of active duty families. We are looking for a membership coordinator (see above) from a NG&R family to work hand in hand with our National Guard & Reserve Director to make life more sustainable for these families.
Chapter Director
Here’s a terrific chance to be the one to Support, Connect and Engage military families of all ranks and services in your own community. Its fun, easy and we will help you put your great ideas into action. We’ll also provide everything you need to personalize and implement our national programs.
Program Managers
We are seeking self motivated professionals with experience in project management, consultancy or client facing operations. A sound knowledge of military family needs and challenges and the ability to liaise with multiple outside organizations is highly desirable.
Seeking an HR Coordinator who can manage all aspects of a growing Not for Profit's changing Human Resource needs in a virtual environment. Recruitment, training, compensation analysis, succession analysis and planning, internal communications and liaison.
