Our family of five doesn’t get out very often. We have PCS’d every year for the past five years, which makes it difficult to plan ahead and find affordable tickets to experiences we’d all enjoy.
Last fall, after relocating yet again, we really wanted to take our kids to a college football game. Easier said than done, especially in Texas! We heard that we might be able to get tickets through Vet Tix. I logged on, verified our military affiliation, and was able to get great seats for my whole family…for FREE.
The organization’s goal is to never let a seat go unused. Veteran Tickets Foundation teams up with major sports teams, leagues, promoters, organizations, venues and ticket holders to provide free and discounted tickets to currently serving military and veterans.
Active military members and veterans can sign up at VetTix.org. Blue Star Neighbors looking to donate tickets can find information on the Donate Tickets page. Vet Tix also accepts monetary donations.
With a deployment looming on the horizon, quality family time is a priority for us right now. Because of Vet Tix, we were able to give our kids a fantastic day they will never forget. Thanks, Vet Tix!
