#GivingTuesday Success!
Thank you to everyone who created a Facebook fundraiser, donated, liked and shared our posts, and cheered on Blue Star Families during #GivingTuesday this year! Because of your advocacy and support, hundreds of military kids and their families will enjoy free outdoor activities together, like kayaking, at Kids To Parks events in 14 locations across the country this coming year!

#GivingTuesday is over, but the support doesn’t have to stop. Help us build Blue Star Nation through Facebook Fundraisers year-round and show your friends and family how they can make a huge difference in the lives of military families all over our nation. Start here.

Exciting things in the Works!

Thanks to a CSX Pride in Service grant, Blue Star Families is building CSX Blue Star Communities across the nation. They’ll be a place for military families and civilian neighbors to connect and share local resources and support. Read more about it here.

Welcome, Welcome!

Welcome to the family, The Boeing Company! Boeing’s generosity and partnership will help support three Blue Star Families communities, which means more resources and programs for military families!

Yellow Ribbon Tree

Is your hero far from home this holiday season? Celebrate their service by visiting a Blue Star Families Yellow Ribbon Tree in select @Starbucks  stores across the country. Find a tree near you here.

Nominate!

Tis the season to thank a neighbor! Nominate the civilian in your life who has made a difference to your #milfamily as an outstanding #BlueStarNeighbor. You will both win a trip for two to our annual Celebration in May if selected. We can’t think of a better holiday gift than a trip to DC!

BSF, UHF, and Caregivers

Becoming a caregiver doesn’t come with a manual. Still, 5.5 million military and veteran caregivers in our country need support as they make decisions for their loved one’s health and wellness. That’s why we’re working with the United Health Foundation to provide cutting-edge technology as a way to improve access to tools and resources and reduce caregivers’ stress and isolation. Find out more about the program here.

Thinking Warm Thoughts

Blue Star Families will be out in force this spring in our national parks so get ready to lace up those hiking boots! Pst- we recently won the “OAK Award” for our presence in parks last year.  It’s kind of a big deal.
