Blue Star Summer blue star summer

“I’m bored!” is something every parent hears from their children during summertime. The good news? You’ll have plenty of ways to combat your kids’ boredom this summer with Blue Star Families’ many programs and events. Over 2,000 Blue Star Museums open their doors for free to active duty families, including National Guard and Reserve, through Labor Day weekend. All National Parks are also free to active duty military families once you pick up an America the Beautiful park pass.

If a National Park is not around the corner or on your route this summer, no worries. Use BSF’s ParkPassport app, available for free in app stores, to find a local or state park to explore. While there, you can log your activities, collect badges, and compare passports with friends. BSF also has a bunch of activity sheets to keep kids busy reading and exploring. And if, somehow, they’re still bored, download our Bingo cards and challenge them to fill in every space! No matter your activity of choice, be sure to share your best boredom buster with us on social media using #BlueStarSummer!
