Campbell’s® Chunky® Soup and Dollar General Introduce Limited-Edition Cans To Support Blue Star Families

New collectible Campbell’s Chunky cans sold exclusively at Dollar General to benefit military nonprofit

CAMDEN, N.J. (November 14, 2019) – Campbell Soup Company and Dollar General Corporation are partnering to help support Blue Star Families, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening military families by connecting them with their neighbors – individuals and organizations – to create vibrant communities of mutual support.

Campbell’s Chunky and Dollar General have teamed up to create limited-edition cans of two best-selling flavors of Chunky soup: Classic Chicken Noodle and Sirloin Burger with Country Vegetables. As part of the initiative, a monetary donation to Blue Star Families will be made to support programming that directly impacts its beneficiaries.

“Every day, we witness military family champions holding down the fort in support of their service member who works long days and nights to keep Americans safe,” said Kathy Roth-Douquet, CEO, Blue Star Families. “We’re excited to be able to recognize and fuel these Blue Star Families through the winter via this incredible partnership with Campbell Soup Company and Dollar General.”

Additionally, Blue Star Families will bring Campbell’s new “Champions of Chunky” campaign to life through its “Fueling Families” initiative. The organization will recognize Champions, or members of military families making a difference in their communities. The Champions will be featured in video content and receive Campbell’s Chunky care packages to thank them for their efforts and to ensure they have what they need to fuel their families all winter long.

Beginning in November, the collectible cans will be available at more than 16,000 Dollar General stores while supplies last.
