Campaign Runs May 23 – June 6, 2017

Blue Star Families is competing in the “American Heroes Charity Challenge,” sponsored by the Craig Newmark Philanthropic Fund. Help us fundraise to support military families, and you can win too! (More on that below).

The challenge:

A group of nonprofits supporting American Heroes – military families, veterans, police, and firefighters – will try to raise as much money as they can through this campaign from May 23 to July 6, 2017. The top three fundraisers will win additional grand prizes awarded by the Craig Newmark Philanthropic Fun! 3rd place gets $5,000. 2nd gets $10,000. And first gets an additional $15,000!

(Plus, there will be weekly Bonus Challenges for organizations to win another $20,000!)

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and create your team
  3. Start spreading the word with personal emails and in social media (feel free to take the language from this email!)

We want to get as many people, business and organizations as possible to donate and/or fundraise on our behalf. No donation is too small (or too large!).

You win too:

By creating your own team, the funds donated on your fundraising page will be attributed to you. For every $500 donated through your page, you’ll win a $25 gift card! There’s no limit to the amount of funding you can raise and gift cards you can win.
