Pre-Welcome Week Kick-Off Event!!
23 September 2022
9 am – 4 pm
You need to take care of yourself and your family. This course is geared towards helping those around us.
Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.
Blue Star Families is partnering with ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind, to offer Virtual Military Mental Health First Aid Training. This 8-hour virtual workshop covers topics such as depression, anxiety, suicide, psychosis, substance abuse, and more, especially how they relate to working with our military- and Veteran-connected populations. The workshop is provided FREE for the military, Veterans, their families, and those who work or support them. This is a virtual workshop conducted via Zoom.
Please be aware that there are 2 hours of pre-work that you must complete at least 24 hours before the live virtual course. Your progress bar will read 69% completion once you’ve done this. If this is not completed, you will not be permitted to join the live virtual course. During the course, you must have your camera on at all times to ensure attendance and participation. After the course, you will have a few brief surveys to complete and then you will have access to your MHFA Certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
