Project R.E.D. Team – Hope For The Day’s Mental Health Seminar for BSF

Nov 04, 2021

2:00 pm CDT - 3:30 pm CDT

PROJECT R.E.D. TEAM is Hope For The Day’s peer-led proactive mental health education and suicide prevention outreach platform. Our one-hour clinically backed education presentation was designed for members of the military, veterans, first responders, and their families by members within the community who understand the unique mental health challenges that come with committing yourself to the safety and protection of others.

R.E.D stands for Reminding Everyone Deployed…IT’S OK NOT TO BE OK.® because we believe deployed to not only encompass those who have served overseas but all who understand the military and first responder culture, including family members serving at home. We must continue taking action against the epidemic of suicide in this community because an average of 22 service members complete suicide each day in the United States.

By amplifying the voices of those with lived experience, conversations around mental health can have a deeper impact on eliminating the highest risk factors for suicide before the point of crisis. Addressing the stigmas that keep us silent allows us the opportunity to serve as the resource many of us did not have in our own times of need through peervention + support.
