Ashley Hayes

Senior Manager of Strategy & Operations for Community Development & Programs

Ashley Hayes started with Blue Star Families in March of 2016 as the Development Manager where she worked in fundraising and development efforts by partnering with organizations to support military families around the world. In her current role with Blue Star Families as the Senior Manager of Strategy and Operations for Community Development and Programs, Ashley works closely with the Community Development and Programs in leading operational and development initiatives with this team. Prior to her role with BSF, she spent several years as the Executive Director of a non-profit community hospital foundation, as well as the Major Gifts Officer for a national military non-profit. Ashley earned her Masters of Business Administration from Central Michigan University, and hopes to pursue her PhD one day. Ashley has volunteered with several non-profits over the years to include the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, New River Officers Spouses Club, and Rotary. It is with utmost pride and dedication that she supports her husband, her military, and her country by serving as a Marine Corps spouse. Within the time span of six moves, three permanent change of stations, and two deployments, she has been blessed with two little boys, Carson and Dayton.

Ashley’s favorite Blue Star Families’ Program is the Blue Star Careers Program. As the spouse of an active duty Marine, she has found it very challenging to pursue a career and meet her goals. She feels truly blessed to be working for Blue Star Families in a capacity that allows for flexibility. She is thrilled that spouses have access to the Blue Star Careers Program to support them through their career journey by providing them opportunities to develop networks and access resources to further their career goals including education, skills training, entrepreneurship, and entry/re-entry into the workforce.
