Ashley Scott

P55 Policy & Outreach Fellow


Ashley joined Blue Star Families as a P55 Policy and Outreach Fellow. She will focus her efforts supporting the Racial, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative. Ashley graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public and International Affairs and a certificate in French. Ashley is passionate about voting rights, politics, and criminal justice. Her senior thesis evaluated the effect of disenfranchisement on recidivism among felons in the United States.

Ashley grew up in Norfolk, Virginia with her two younger siblings. With a grandfather in the Air Force and many friends whose parents were in the armed forces, Ashley developed an awareness of the challenges faced by military families and how civilians can support this unique population. She is eager to work on behalf of military families and continue to strengthen ties between them and civilians.
