Bio

Jessica O’Connor is a Human Resources Manager with over ten years of experience in recruiting, training, talent management, onboarding and employee relations in various industries including construction/property management for privatized military housing, technology and healthcare. Jessica graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. In 2013, Jessica obtained her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

Jessica served as the Family Readiness Group Leader out of Fort Hood, Texas over the course of two deployments. Additionally, Jessica is an active volunteer with her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Jessica is the joyful mother of a 22-month-old son and a proud military spouse to her Army husband. When not chasing after her son at the playground, Jessica enjoys yoga, Starbucks, football, finding fun new restaurants and traveling.

Jessica’s favorite part of Blue Star Families is the Blue Star Museums partnerships. She loves that it provides access to museums for military children and families to explore, gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the arts, history and the changing world around us. Jessica and her own family have been able to enjoy this partnership first hand.
