Kaprece James is a social entrepreneur and United States Marine Corps Spouse. She has been volunteering and working in the nonprofit sector for over 25 years. Kaprece has served in many roles from volunteer to director and board chair with nonprofits and public sector organizations.

She started two nonprofit organizations and has assisted many other nonprofits with building their programs nationally and internationally. Kaprece has a Master’s in Public Administration with a specialty in Nonprofit Management & Leadership. She is currently a doctoral candidate for Public Policy and Administration with a specialization in Nonprofit Leadership. Her research is on the sustainability of nonprofits with a concentration on fund development and board governance.

Kaprece enjoys volunteering in the community and is the current Founder and C.E.O. of Stella’s Girls, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit and recognized Liberian nongovernmental organization that focuses on the empowerment and leadership development of girls and women in the United States, Japan, Liberia, Rwanda, and Uganda. She is always looking for ways to provide mentorship, give back to her local and military community, and advocate on the behalf of others.

In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving, dancing, and traveling. Kaprece is currently stationed in Monterey, CA with her husband, Major Rodney James and two fur babies Angel and Serena.
