Meredith Lozar is the Blue Star Families Senior Advisor for Communities.  In this role she is responsible for the leadership and development of Blue Star Families Chapters across the nation as well as the direction of existing BSF programming to create a consistent community support environment for military families. She also identifies and promotes various military family initiatives and works with the team to design, test, and launch solutions which bridge the gap between military families and their civilian communities.

A leader in the field of military family support services, Meredith has dedicated her career to improving the lives and overall readiness of today’s military families. She has directed both large and small scale military affiliated nonprofit programs, and served in multiple volunteer capacities for the armed services.  Meredith serves as a subject matter expert and speaker on topics ranging from military financial readiness to the challenges of military spouse employment and professional development.

Meredith graduated with highest distinction from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Human Relations from The University of Oklahoma. She then went on to be selected as a Military Spouse FINRA Fellow and achieve her Accredited Financial Counseling (AFC) certificate.  Meredith is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education where she represents the Military/Government Constituency and serves as their Government Relations Liaison.
