Caregivers Program Manager
Sandralee D. Jensen is the Blue Star Families Operation Family Caregiver Coach Program Supervisor. In this capacity she connects Caregivers of injured/ill/wounded military personnel with volunteer coaches who provide support and services. Through Blue Star Families, she partners with the Rosalynn Carter Institute’s Operation Family Caregiver (OFC) program.
Sandralee converts her own caregiver and organizational skills into innovative and personal network connections in support of the Caregiver community. Her devotion and lifelong service to those in need has impacted the lives of thousands and been recognized by government, military, and community leaders. Charity and love are the standards by which she lives her life.
From presiding over local young women and Relief Society organizations to raising six children to changing the dynamic involvement of spouses with returning Wounded Warriors, Sandralee has dedicated herself to helping current and future generations become strong problem solvers motivated to overcome life’s challenges. Since joining BSF eight months ago, she has increased the involvement of Caregivers by 400% and doubled the support of volunteer Coaches. Her collaborative mentality is rapidly expanding the involvement of organizations throughout the region.
Sandralee is involved in church and local community service, homeschool and community education efforts. Her sons earned Eagle Scout awards and her daughters earned Young Womanhood in Excellence awards.
Sandralee graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Organizational Leadership and is working on a dual Masters in Human Resources and Business Administration. She resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband and two daughters.
