Bio

Will Goodwin is the Director of Government Relations and National Spokesperson for VoteVets — a national veterans political and advocacy organization with more than 700,000 supporters.  In this role, he directs the organization’s advocacy and policy efforts on Capitol Hill, appears in national media to provide analysis on national security and veterans’ issues, and provides political support to VoteVets-endorsed candidates. 

A U.S. Army veteran, Will previously served as the Military Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and supported the Senator’s legislative portfolio as a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.  In Senator Gillibrand’s capacity as the Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee’s personnel subcommittee, Will helped to champion a series of military families legislative achievements including the “Military Family Stability Act,” the “ACCESS Act” to improve military child care, and reforms to TRICARE regulations involving children with life-threatening illnesses. 

Will is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he served as class president.  Will attended the 2020 State of the Union Address as a guest of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
