WASHINGTON, D.C. — Blue Star Families (BSF) groundbreaking Blue Star Neighborhood digital community was featured at the inaugural Artificial Intelligence Expo for National Competitiveness in Washington D.C., hosted by the Special Competitive Studies Project.

Still in beta testing, Blue Star Neighborhood has already become the largest digital community in the nation dedicated to bridging the military-civilian divide by fostering camaraderie, connection, and support for military and Veteran families.

Ryan Callahan, Executive Vice President of Digital Innovation at Blue Star Families, said: “America is home to some of the greatest technological advances in the world. It’s important we extend this technology to military families while maintaining our national competitiveness. Thank you to SCSP founder Dr. Eric Schmidt, SCSP C.E.O. Ylli Bajraktari, and their teams for hosting us at their groundbreaking national forum in Washington, D.C.”

Through several different lifestyle communities and programs, Blue Star Neighborhood helps create connections supporting mental health, encouraging community-building, and providing professional development opportunities.

In Blue Star Neighborhood, military-connected families can always feel connected, supported, and empowered to thrive. Three-quarters of active-duty family respondents (76%) reported engaging entirely or mostly virtually when considering their three closest relationships outside their spouse or children, according to Blue Star Families 2023 Military Family Lifestyle Survey. The accessibility of established networks may be a key benefit for military families who relocate frequently.

Blue Star Neighborhood is made possible by generous donors such as the McGovern Foundation. This innovative, one-of-a-kind community is ready to link you with everything from professional development to support circles. Inside The Neighborhood, users can enter to win giveaways and benefits from our trusted partners, find a digital library of relevant resources, showcase local events, and offer chats with a community that cares about making life easier and more fun.
