Leslie Wightman

Leslie Wightman joins Blue Star Families as the Technology DEPLOY Fellow, with support from Salesforce. Returning to the workforce in 2018, Leslie has been striving to return to her technology roots.

Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Leslie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University and worked as Data Analyst and Database Administrator for nearly eight(8) years before marrying her Sailor and starting a family. While Leslie stayed home to raise her family, she served as an engaged member of her Military community as a board member of the Enlisted Spouses Club, volunteering at the Post Thrift Store, and serving as Ombudsman for her husband’s Command (CWMA-61). Once her youngest of four reached school age Leslie returned to the workforce as a Cyber Intelligence Recruiter. An opportunity that began as a fellowship through Hiring Our Heroes.
Leslie loves cooking and baking, and enjoys trying new recipes. Her family enjoys spending time together traveling and exploring new places. Leslie and her Sailor have been blissfully married for 16 years, have four beautiful children, and have thrived through 8 moves between 6 states and 2 Countries. They are currently Stationed in Georgia.
