Meghan Wieten-Scott

National Events Manager

Meghan Wieten-Scott has been a part of Blue Star Families since 2009, starting as the Operation Appreciation program manager and now working as the National Events Manager. Meghan coordinates numerous national level events throughout the year and provides project management for the Blue Star Families team including Disney-Books on Bases, Stars, Stripes, and Snowflakes Holiday Party, Military Family Lifestyle Survey launch, and the Blue Star Neighbors Celebration. Meghan also assists with relationship management for some of Blue Star Families partners and coordinates quarterly book shipments with The Walt Disney Company to supply the Books on Bases program.

Meghan is married to MAJ Andrew Scott, US Army, and they are currently stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas where they live with their young son and dog. Growing up in Michigan, Meghan graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration with an emphasis on Women and Gender Studies. The Wieten-Scotts have PCSed seven times and endued two deployments. During that time, Meghan has served as a Family Readiness Group Leader at three different units and volunteered with the USO and the Junior League.

Meghan’s favorite resource is the Books on Bases program because it puts so many books into the hands of our military children!
