Meghan Wieten-Scott

Meghan Wieten-Scott has been a part of Blue Star Families since 2009, starting as the Operation Appreciation program manager and also working as the Event Planning Manager. Meghan now manages Blue Star Families’ relationship with The Walt Disney Company by coordinating book shipments and planning Disney partnership events. Meghan also assists with numerous national level events throughout the year and provides program consultation and historical background of the organization.

Meghan is married to MAJ Andrew Scott, US Army, and they are currently stationed at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ where they live with their son and dog. Growing up in Michigan, Meghan graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration with an emphasis on Women and Gender Studies. The Wieten-Scotts have PCSed eight times and endured two deployments. During that time, Meghan has served as a Family Readiness Group Leader at three different units, volunteered with the USO, and been an active member of the Junior League.

Meghan’s favorite resource is the Blue Star Books because it puts so many books into the hands of our military children!
