Douglas Rozman joins Blue Star Families as Executive Vice President of Communications and Brand Marketing

Douglas RozmanWASHINGTON, D.C. — Blue Star Families (BSF), the nation’s largest nonprofit dedicated to providing support to military and Veteran families, announces the addition of Douglas Rozman as Executive Vice President of Communications and Brand Marketing. In this capacity, he will lead all communications, media relations, brand marketing, and events. Prior to Blue Star Families, Rozman was Senior Vice President and Head of U.S. Communications at HSBC Bank, and a member of the bank’s executive committee.

Rozman brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in corporate communications, brand reputation, and corporate social responsibility. He’s led communications functions and reputation-building programs at HSBC, BNY Mellon/Pershing, CIT, TD Waterhouse, Daimler Financial, and MasterCard. Since 2012, he has taught graduate courses in reputation management, strategic communications, ethics, and employee communications at NYU and UDEL.

Growing up as a self-proclaimed “Army brat,” Rozman has a deep personal connection to military families. His father was a career Army officer, and his family has a long, diverse history of military service. Experiencing seven relocations growing up, he understands military life firsthand.

Throughout his career, Rozman has championed military and Veteran causes through advocacy, volunteering, and board service. He holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Connecticut, completed postgraduate studies in Public Relations at New York University, and is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).
