Carmen O’Shea

Carmen M. O’Shea is a mission-driven executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning Fortune 100 corporations, startups, and the nonprofit sector. She is a U.S. Air National Guard Captain with seven years of service. She has devoted her career to purpose-driven leadership, with deep expertise in strategy, culture transformation, stakeholder coalition-building, and communications. Carmen’s executive career includes senior leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, SAP, and IBM, where she drove large-scale transformation, led global Marketing and HR teams, and championed organizational initiatives. Her nonprofit governance experience spans a decade on the board of a community YMCA, including two years as Chairwoman, and various commissioner roles (with the San Mateo County LGBTQ+ Commission and the Women’s Refugee Commission). Currently an Operating Advisor at Goldman Sachs’ Private Equity Value Accelerator, Carmen coaches C-suite leaders through critical inflection points and develops thought leadership on workforce transformation. A Harvard graduate and multilingual communicator conversant in 7 languages, she brings intercultural understanding, strategic vision, civic commitment, and operational depth to her endeavors.
