Utah Chapter
Welcome to Blue Star Families of Utah!
I am Emily Harrison, Chapter Director of Utah, the Beehive State. Although my husband is now retired from active duty, I was an Army spouse for the better part of 16 years. Having volunteered and worked within the military community for almost 20 years in Family Readiness Programs, I am excited to bring my experience to our Blue Star Families community.
Utah has an extensive network of nonprofit organizations, agencies, and local and state-level leadership that provide tremendous support to our military and Veteran community, and we are proud to be a part of it. Although I reside close to Hill Air Force Base, you will see me buzzing around the Salt Lake Valley, Wasatch Front, and beyond to serve you.
I encourage you to reach out and connect with me. Be sure to like our Chapter Facebook page to stay up-to-date on news and events. If you are looking for ways to get involved, and you would like to lend a hand as a volunteer, we have many ways to assist. Also, invite others to join us, which will only help increase our reach and grow our Chapter!
Lastly, if you want to see a stronger presence of Blue Star Families in your area, remember: we cannot do it without you!

Campaign for Inclusion
All Blue Star Families programming is informed by our research. For this reason, research and advocacy is a key pillar of our Campaign for Inclusion. While all Blue Star Families research in the future will continue to look at data through a racial equity and inclusion lens, our groundbreaking study: The Diverse Experiences of Military and Veteran Families of Color provides unparalleled insight into how military families experience military life.
