Brig Gen (S) Shawn Campbell

Col Shawn W. Campbell is the Director, Air Force Talent Management Innovation Cell, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services. He leads the team focused on developing Air Force programs, policy, and procedures across the talent management life cycle. He oversees research and analysis teams developing or adapting best-practices and identifying innovative solutions to Human Resource challenges. While fulfilling these responsibilities, he also synchronizes efforts across Headquarters Air Force and Service Headquarters, and prepares the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services for senior leader engagements and decision-making forums. He develops initiative proposals and Air Force-wide implementation plans and senior leader strategic messaging and change management.

 
Col Campbell received his commission from the United States Air Force Officer Training School in May 1996. He has served in a variety of positions and functions at national, theater and unit levels, including having commanded the 375th Mission Support Group at Scott AFB, and the 62nd Services Squadron at McChord AFB. He has deployment experience supporting Operations NORTHERN WATCH, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM. Additionally, Col Campbell was a National Security Fellow, Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Prior to assuming his current position, Col Campbell served as the Installation and 10th Air Base Wing Commander, U.S. Air Force Academy.
