Nothing Can Stop These Dedicated Volunteers
Blue Star Families volunteers do it all—from planning special events to helping us tell their Blue Star Families stories, and leading activities for military families across the nation and around the world. Despite a global pandemic, these volunteers stepped up and continued to support military families, and they deserve the highest honor.
As an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) encourages citizens to live a life of service and lead by example to inspire others to engage in volunteerism. The award recognizes, celebrates, and holds up as role models Americans making a positive impact as engaged and deeply committed volunteers.
Because of this prestigious award, we’re able to amplify our gratitude here at Blue Star Families by joining with the President of the United States to nationally recognize and thank nine of our most dedicated volunteers, who collectively dedicated over 1,467 hours of service.
