Miami, FL—The Miami “Rock the Fleet” concert, part of the inaugural Miami Fleet Week, kicked off with a NewsNation interview with Blue Star Families (BSF) CEO, Kathy Roth-Douquet, and Gloria Estefan, the multi-Grammy Award-winning musical icon.
NewsNation correspondent Blake Burman asked Roth-Douquet and Estefan about the importance of supporting our servicemembers and their families.

Estefan, the daughter of a military Veteran, is a key figure in the concert that is expected to host 1,800 U.S. Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen.
Joining her are Roth-Douquet and the Secretary of the Navy, Carlos Del Toro, this evening. The event will also feature the Cuban American model and television presenter Lili Estefan, and the internationally recognized reggae band The Wailers, promising a star-studded evening.
Roth-Douquet will appear on SiriusXM’s “The David Webb Show” on SiriusXM’s Patriot 125 tomorrow, May 8, 2024, at 9:55 AM ET.

About Fleet Week Miami: Fleet Week Miami will be held May 7 — 14, 2024, at PortMiami and will bring more than 1,800 service members to south Florida whose primary mission will be to contribute to a growing understanding of the sea services’ importance in our country’s national defense.
