Leah Love

Leah originally joined Blue Star Families as a volunteer in 2014. A year later, she joined the Blue Star Families staff as the Volunteer Training Fellow and now serves as the Associate Director of Community Impact. Leah’s career, as with many military spouses, has been varied. She has worked in administrative positions in the legal, staffing and real estate industries, was a high school history teacher, and now is a volunteer recruiter, trainer and manager.

Throughout all of her positions, Leah has always most enjoyed her time directly working with people to help them learn and grow in their own lives, a direct extension of her formal education as a teacher. Leah has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Michigan, focusing on Secondary History and Political Science Education. She is a proud Navy spouse and mother of two young sons. Leah and her family currently reside in California.
