Patricia Montes-Barron is the President of PMB Consulting, LLC, with a proven track
record in supporting military families.

From 2021 to 2025, she served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military
Community and Family Policy, where she managed a comprehensive portfolio. This
included advocating for policies that enhance the quality of life for service members
and their families, overseeing programs like Military OneSource, military spouse career
advancement, Defense State Liaison OKice, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation, as well as
casualty and mortuary aKairs.

Previously, Patricia was the Director of the Family Readiness Directorate at the
Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and led family programs at Zero to Three
and the National Military Family Association (NMFA).

As a former active-duty Army spouse, she is passionately committed to military
families. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of San
Francisco, a Master of Science from Long Island University, an Executive Certification in
Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University, and an Executive Education
Certificate from The Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
