Analysis Shows Military Families Homeschool at Twice the Average Rate
During the 2023-2024 school year, 12% of military families homeschooled, according to an analysis published as part of Johns Hopkins’ Homeschool Hub. Dating back to 2018, the Blue Star Families Military Family LIfestyle Survey showed rates between 11% and 13%.

While 45% of respondents to a recent survey report that they believe the American public appreciates military families’ sacrifices, the 2024 MFLS shows that only 19% of military family respondents agree.
