Lieutenant General Kevin Vereen, USA (Ret.)

Kevin Vereen is a people-focused, results-oriented retired Army General Officer, with a genuine concern for identifying and developing leadership potential. Throughout his 36 years of military service, he directed several organizations through challenging and complex conditions.

He served as the senior military official leading a broad range of initiatives including developing, implementing and advising policing for military and civilian law enforcement professionals, attracting, training and retaining service members, and assessing and revising infrastructure requirements for security, environmental resiliency and sustainability.

In his most recent assignment – bolstered by a wealth of operational experience working with partners in the U.S. and abroad – Kevin oversaw a $20B annual budget and led more than 300 employees who implemented policy and provided funding and resources for military installations across the globe. Kevin was responsible for funding allocation to Army Family Programs which included spouse certification, Military Welfare and Recreation, and childcare funding.

Kevin was an active member of several boards while on active duty, including serving as the Chair of the Audit Committee for the Army and Air Force Exchange Services, member of both the Marketing and Talent & Leadership Advisory committees for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and board member for the Army Emergency Relief Program. Kevin is a 2024 graduate of the National Association of Corporate Directors’ “Battlefield to Boardroom” program. Over the years, Kevin has provided Leadership Seminars to various policing organizations across the USA to include state highway patrol agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Kevin recently founded The RealTeam Vereen, LLC, which focuses on executive leadership development and provides organizations guidance related to physical and personal security matters.

Kevin and his wife Monica reside in North Carolina. They have four adult children and three grandchildren. He enjoys golfing, reading foreign policy literature and learning new sports.
