Days after Biden-Harris Administration released the first-ever government-wide plan to tackle employment barriers and expand opportunities for military-connected spouses, VA signs the 4+1 Commitment to support military spouses

About 21% of the nation’s roughly 540,000 civilian military spouses are unemployed, according to the U.S Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Blue Star Families — making them one of the highest unemployed demographics in the United States.

On December 13th, we joined Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, and Maryland First Lady Dawn Moore to declare 2024 the ‘Year for Military Families.’
